The book of abstracts was NOT be provided at the conference. 

The Minding Animals Committee took the decision not to provide printed copies of the abstract book for the conference. From the start we had taken a conscious decision to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum, and one part of doing this is reducing the amount paper we use. 

A huge amount of paper is used in producing abstract books, and as we had 6 concurrent sessions on at any one time, a large number of abstracts go unread by any one delegate. We also had a large number of day delegates who only required abstracts for the day they were attending. 

By taking the decision to use the abstract book electronically helped us to reduce our impact on the environment.  If you do wish to print, try printing double sided, or 2 pages per A4 sheet, you will halve the amount of paper needed. Thank you for your support.
